Euroins insurance JSC supported the seventh edition of the "Friendship Marathon" in Pleven city

On May 23, 2021 the seventh edition of the charity marathon "Friendship Marathon" was held on Vazrazhdane Square in the city of Pleven, with the support of Insurance company Euroins.

The competition traditionally attracts participants from different nationalities and age groups. Despite travel restrictions, the marathon included runners from a total of 14 countries, including UK, India, Ireland, Cyprus, Morocco, Nepal, Pakistan, Romania, Russia, the United States and others. The diversity of the event, in addition to different nationalities, was complemented by participants in an extremely wide age range. This year, two records were improved - for the youngest and oldest participant, who were respectively 2 years old and 84 years old.

This year's marathon program was complemented by the Park + event with additional outdoor activities and sports such as volleyball, table tennis, mini football, badminton, Pilates, functional aerobics and dancing with Latin rhythms for all ages. Many people from Pleven city and other parts of the country joined in to help the organizers, and among the volunteers were diplomats from the embassies supporting the event.

The seventh marathon in Pleven was organized by the social enterprise Ice-Open together with the Municipality of Pleven, the World of Maria Foundation, the Bulgarian Athletics Federation, SKLA Phoenix, the National Alliance for Social Responsibility and in partnership with Jamba, the Bulgarian Association of Persons. with intellectual disabilities, Autism Today Association, JA Bulgaria and others.
