Euroins’ employees took part in the launch of the fifth afforest season of the New forest of Sofia

On November 2, Euroins’ employees took part in the start of the fifth afforest season of the New forest of Sofia.

Sofia's New Forest is a large-scale a forestation initiative of  the Sofia Municipality, with over 120,000 new trees planted. The initiative aims to transform deserted municipal lands into forests and build a green filter near Sofia to help improve the quality of ambient air. The project started in the fall of 2017 and so far 20,000 saplings have been planted.Sofia's new forest is located in Suhodol quarter, near the reclaimed municipal landfill, and will occupy an area of ​​225 acres. The team of the Sofia Municipality relies entirely on volunteers to plant the trees in the forest. Within the framework of the project, the Sofia Municipality provides the saplings, planting equipment and gloves, and the planting itself relies entirely on volunteers.
Tree care is provided by forestry experts from the municipal enterprise Land and Forest Management.
