Petar Avramov

Petar Avramov has over 30 years of experience in senior management positions in the fields of insurance and trade.

In the period 1981 - 1993, he successively held the following positions: deputy chairman, chairman of the Board of Directors and chief executive officer of "Cooperative Union" Vidin; Deputy Chairman of the District Cooperative Union.
From 1993 to 2002, he was the chief executive officer of the DZI Vidin.
From 2002 to 2015 he was the Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of HDI Insurance in Bulgaria.
In 2015, he held the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Euroins Insurance JSC.
Since 2019, Mr. Avramov has been an independent member and deputy chairman of the Board of Directors of ZD Euroins AD and a member of the Supervisory Board of "Insurance Company EIG Re" EAD.

Mr. Avramov is the chairman of the Supervisory Board of the "Association of Bulgarian Insurers" for four consecutive terms and a member of the board of the "National Bureau of Bulgarian Automobile Insurers" for two consecutive terms.
Mr. Avramov is a member of the Board of Directors of the "Bulgarian Basketball Federation", as well as the vice-chairman of the Federation's Arbitration Commission for two consecutive terms.

Petar Avramov holds a master's degree in economics from the Varna University of Economics and holds a number of post-graduate qualifications in the fields of insurance and management.
