Euroins insurance JSC supported the eighth edition of the charity marathon "Friendship Marathon"

On May 22nd, 2022, in the city of Pleven, with the support of Euroins, the eighth edition of the charity marathon "Friendship Marathon" was held.

The event attracted a total of 582 participants in an extremely wide age range - from babies in strollers to 85-year-old marathoner. They represented a total of ten countries - Bulgaria, Britain, Spain, India, Canada, Romania, USA, Syria, Ukraine and Jamaica. All of them played sports united by a common cause under the motto "We run in support of children with intellectual disabilities."

The eighth edition of the marathon was opened with a greeting from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Grozdan Karadzhov, who, along with his family, was one of the volunteers of the event.

The opening was also attended by the Deputy Mayor of the city - Mr. Stefan Milev, who supported the charitable cause of this year's edition - raising funds for the equipment of an art therapeutic corner for working with clay at the Center for Social Rehabilitation and Integration for Children with Disabilities. Pleven.

In addition to attracting donations to help children with intellectual disabilities, the event showed that there are many other ways to help. It went down in history as edition  that attracted the biggest number of volunteers, including Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ivan Hristanov, diplomats, students, retirees and many others from Pleven, the country and abroad.

The eighth marathon in Pleven was organized by leading foundations and social enterprises in Bulgaria, whose main mission is to support disadvantaged people with different abilities: Maria World Foundation, Social Future Jamba Foundation, Ice Open , National Alliance for Social Responsibility, in partnership with the Municipality of Pleven, SKLA Phoenix, SC Elite Running from Romania, Bulgarian Association for People with Intellectual Disabilities, BCause Foundation, Autism Today and with the support of many companies for which corporate and social responsibility towards building a fair social environment and a sustainable future are at the heart of their business.
